Class Types
Combination– Classes consist of ballet, tap, and basic tumbling, as well as balancing, coordination, and musicality skills. Combination classes available for all age groups and experience levels.
Ballet– Classical technique taught through barre work, center floor, adagio, & allegro.
Tap– Rhythmic movement of feet taught through basic steps and combinations.
Jazz– High energy dance that combines classic ballet technique and fun, energetic movements as well as leaps and turns.
Lyrical Modern– A unique dance form, typically a cross between ballet & jazz, that allows the dancer to be expressive through body language & emotion.
Pointe– An extension of ballet with special pointe shoes that allows the student to raise the body onto the tips of the toes
Company C– Competitive dance team for serious dancers with at least 1 year of dance experience.
- Company C is MCM’s competitive dance team. Company C is for dancers that wish to improve themselves in the art of dance, expressive movement, and performance. In order to be eligible for Company C, the dancer must be enrolled in at least one ballet class, must have at least 1 year of dance experience, and must be at least 4 years of age. Company C students take at least one additional 1-hour class each week. Each year, the team travels to various workshops, conventions, and competitions around the state, as well as perform at community events in the B/CS area. Every company student is also eligible to be in the Production dance. For more information on Company C, please contact us.
